Emmet has never really achieved anything he’s dreamed of doing, and he is stuck in a job that is completely unsatisfying to his interests. It’s true that he has had many wild ideas, and a lot of them have failed, and for a while he lost all motivation, but after using some soul searching methods he has found what he needs to change his life.
Unfortunately for him his future will be hard to change because those holding him back are the very people he relies on and wants to share his news with — his family.
